Bald Cypress Books reprints classic Frederick Douglass autobiography

After releasing a new edition of Scenes in the Life of Harriet Tubman last week, Bald Cypress Books continues to celebrate Black History Month with the release of Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, the classic autobiography of the great African-American statesman, originally published in 1845.

Like Tubman, Douglass was born into slavery on Maryland's Eastern Shore. His book's vivid portrayal of the brutality of slavery, coupled with his skill as a speaker, inflamed hearts and minds across the United States and around the world.
